Position Description

Sessional Lecturer Positions – January to April 2026

The University of British Columbia (Vancouver) invites applications from outstanding individuals to teach courses within the Department of Computer Science, with potential for opportunities in either or both of CPSC_V 314 (Computer Graphics) and CPSC_V 317 (Introduction to Computer Networking) from January to April 2026. The CPSC_V 317 position will be only for the latter part of the term; the exact start date remains to be determined. Openings in other courses are not expected but might also arise. The Department will consider applicants with previous teaching experience in a post-secondary setting, and we will consider applicants whose abilities cover a broad range of topics and levels. A Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related areas is required, with a preference to applicants who possess a Ph.D. We welcome applications from computer scientists who are active in industry.
