TAUNTON STATE HOSPITAL, INPATIENT ATTENDING PSYCHIATRIST The University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School (UMass Chan) seeks a board-certified or board-eligible adult psychiatrist to serve as an Inpatient Attending Psychiatrist for the Department of Mental Health(DMH) operated inpatient psychiatric units at Taunton State Hospital in Taunton, MA. The units are composed of 60 adult psychiatric beds serving persons in need of forensic evaluation and continuing inpatient care. The Inpatient Attending Psychiatrist is responsible for providing direct clinical care to adult inpatients under the supervision of the Facility Medical Director. The Inpatient Attending Psychiatrist is a part of a multi-disciplinary team and participates in regular clinical and risk consultation meetings, as well as quality and performance improvement initiatives. We seek an inspired clinician, committed to the recovery model of care. Ideal candidates will possess both a depth and breadth of adult psychiatric experience and commitment to public sector psychiatry. The selected candidate will be recommended for a UMass Chan faculty appointment as Assistant or Associate Professor based on qualifications.
