ATTENDING PSYCHIATRIST POSITION
WORCESTER RECOVERY CENTER AND HOSPITAL
Worcester Recovery Center and Hospital and the Department of Psychiatry and
Behavioral Sciences at the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School (UMass Chan)
seeks a full-time (40 hours per week) board-certified/board-eligible psychiatrist to serve at
The Worcester Recovery Center and Hospital in Worcester, MA. Worcester Recovery Center
and Hospital (WRCH) is a state-of-the-art hospital that cares for adults with severe mental
health conditions in our continuing care and acute forensic units. The selected candidate will be recommended for a UMass Chan faculty appointment as Assistant or Associate Professor
based on qualifications.
Academic Opportunities: - Supervision of psychiatry fellows, psychiatry residents and
medical students. Department support for leadership training, research, and other academic
endeavors through various UMass Chan-sponsored programs. - Various CME activities,
including grand rounds, journal clubs, law and psychiatry lectures, and DMH-sponsored
trainings, workshops and events.
In alignment with our
commitment to pay transparency, the established Department of Mental Health
base salary for this position is $255,000 (exclusive of benefits and
retirement).
At UMass Chan Medical School,
final base salary offers are determined based on a combination of factors,
including your skills, education, and relevant experience. We also consider
internal equity to ensure fair and consistent compensation across our teams.
Please note that the range
provided reflects the full base salary range for this position. Offers are
typically made within the starting range to allow for future growth and
development within the role.
