The Cornell SC Johnson College of Business invites applications from qualified individuals for multiple tenure-track positions in the Operations, Technology, and Information Management (OTIM) area with an intended start date of July 1, 2022. These positions will be based in Ithaca, NY.

The responsibilities of these positions include teaching basic and advanced courses in operations management, analytics, decision analysis, digital transformation, statistics, and/or technology management for various undergraduate and graduate programs offered by the college; producing high-quality research in the field of operations, technology, and information management; supervision of doctoral students; and service to the academic community, the operations area, the SC Johnson College of Business, and the University at large.

The ideal candidate will possess a Ph.D., or be on track to completing one in operations management or a related field like operations research, industrial engineering, economics, computer science, etc. Applications from candidates at all levels—Full, Associate, or Assistant Professor— are welcome. For one of the positions, an experienced candidate with an interest in the hospitality industry would be ideal.

The search will continue until the positions have been filled.

  4. Names and contact information of three references;

  6. Report of courses taught and evidence of teaching effectiveness; and
  7. Any other supporting documents, such as curriculum development materials.

Graduating Ph.D. students should ask their references to submit letters of recommendation. For experienced candidates, letters of recommendation will be requested at the later stages of the recruitment process.
