The Asian American and Diaspora Studies Program at Duke University invites applications for a Postdoctoral Associate position in Asian American Studies. The associate will teach in the Asian American Studies curriculum and be active in programming outreach. The selected candidate is expected to engage in original research, to teach one course per semester (Introduction to Asian American and Diaspora Studies and another course in the associate’s area of expertise), and to participate in the intellectual and public life of the university. The associate will be mentored by senior faculty and have access to professional development and other resources on campus. Applicants in all fields and disciplines in the humanities and social sciences will be considered. We especially welcome candidates whose area of expertise complements those of current Asian American and Diaspora Studies Program faculty.

The position begins August 1, 2022 and is for one academic year, with the possibility for extension for the second academic year subject to budget approval and satisfactory review. Applicants are expected to have completed their PhD, with the dissertation defended and deposited, no later than June 2022.
