NYC-Based Postdoctoral Position in Community-Engaged Research
Job Summary: The Action Research Collaborative (ARC) at Cornell University is seeking a postdoctoral scholar to conduct equity-focused research to improve the health and well-being of historically marginalized populations in New York City (NYC) and New York State (NYS). We are seeking an applicant with experience conducting community-engaged research with multidisciplinary teams. Scholars will be expected to work on multiple studies with faculty from various disciplines (e.g., nutrition, communication, policy, psychology) and community partners. There will be training on various methodologies, developing culturally appropriate interventions, and policy dissemination.

The mission of ARC is to develop and support equitable and sustainable research-practice-policy partnerships that can generate solutions to improve the lives of communities that are too often neglected. Our members approach these partnerships from multiple disciplinary perspectives and methodological approaches–we apply whichever approaches are most relevant for the project at hand. We involve community partners at all phases of the project (i.e., from study design to dissemination of findings). The overarching goal is for these projects to inform interventions and public policies, especially policies that support the well-being of marginalized populations. To learn more about ARC visit
