The Department of Romance Studies at Boston University invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor of Spanish with specialization in a field of modern and contemporary Latin American literature. This tenure track appointment entails teaching in our undergraduate and graduate programs. Starting date: July 1, 2023.

 

We seek applications from candidates who, through the excellence of their teaching, scholarship and service to the profession and the community, will contribute to the efforts of the Department and Boston University to strengthen racial, ethnic and intellectual diversity.

 

Fields of expertise may include any area of Latin American literature with attention to its interdisciplinary and sociocultural contexts. Candidates should have a native or native-like command of Spanish and English, a promising record of research, the ability to direct graduate research, and a record of excellent teaching at the college level.
