Position Description
The Astrophysics & Cosmology Group (www.sissa.it/ap) of the International School for Advanced Studies of Trieste (SISSA, Italy) is looking for Post-Doc researchers in the area of Cosmic Microwave Background Polarization Anisotropies, for 2 years subject to extension, to start in 2023. The program is supported by the Italian Space Agency through the ASI-LiteBIRD (cosmosnet.it) grant, targeting the B-mode of CMB anisotropies in polarization, as observed by the LiteBIRD satellite, in particular for supporting Simulations in relation to Foreground Cleaning and Separation, Gravitational Lensing Extraction and de-Lensing, also in combination with ground-based telescopes and tracers of the Large Scale Structure (LSS). Applicants are expected to possess a robust expertise concerning CMB data analysis, with a particular focus either on the study, characterization, simulation and removal of foreground emission and/or instrumental systematic effects, or cross-correlation of CMB observables with LSS tracers. SISSA is committed to promoting equality and diversity. All qualified applicants will receive consideration and will not be discriminated against on the basis of race, color, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion, disability, age, or national or ethnic origin. SISSA is an institute with exclusive focus on research and PhD education in Physics, Mathematics and Neurosciences, located in the beautiful seaside city of Trieste, in the North-Eastern tip of Italy, enjoying excellent quality of life and great outdoors.
