The Institute for Data, Econometrics, Algorithms, and Learning (IDEAL) invites applications for two postdoctoral positions with an anticipated start date in the Fall of 2023. IDEAL is an NSF-funded interdisciplinary institute organized by the University of Illinois Chicago, Northwestern University, the University of Chicago, Toyota Technological Institute at Chicago (TTIC), and Illinois Institute of Technology. The postdoctoral researchers will conduct research on key aspects of the foundations of data science. This field includes relevant areas of Theoretical Computer Science, Machine Learning, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research, and Econometrics.

One of the positions will be hosted by Northwestern University and the other by TTIC and the University of Chicago. Additionally, the University of Illinois Chicago will host another IDEAL postdoctoral position, which is advertised separately (see https://www.mathjobs.org/jobs/list/21376).
