The Department of Physics and Astronomy at Northwestern University invites applications for one or more postdoctoral scholars, in the area of theoretical nuclear and particle physics, to start in the Fall of 2023. The initial appointment will be for one year, renewable for up to two more years subject to performance and availability of funding. Possible joint appointments with nearby national laboratories, such as Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory and Argonne National Laboratory, would also be considered.

We are particularly interested in candidates with expertise in quantum field theories and the applications to systems of phenomenological interest, with a focus on the interface with quantum information science.
