The Department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Mississippi invites applications for a postdoctoral position in Theoretical Physics. The successful candidate will join the group of James Bonifacio, with emphasis on the following research areas: cosmology, gravitational physics, amplitudes, field theory, geometry, and the conformal bootstrap. Other theory research faculty members of the department include Luca Bombelli, Alakabha Datta, Anuradha Gupta, and Leo Stein. A PhD in physics/mathematics or a related area is required by the time of the initial appointment. The initial position is for two years, and funding is available for a third year subject to satisfactory performance. The position is expected to start in August 2023 with some flexibility. Preference is given to applications submitted by December 18th, but late applications will be considered until the position is filled.
