NIH-funded positions are available in the laboratory of Prof. Mikhail Nikiforov, Duke University, Departments of Biomedical Engineering and Pathology (https://pathology.duke.edu/research-core-facilities/primary-faculty-labs/nikiforov-lab). We are looking for highly motivated candidates who are interested in studying metabolic vulnerabilities of cancer, lineage-specific transcriptional regulators in cancer, and development of advanced cancer therapeutics. We utilize cutting edge methodologies that integrate intracellular imaging, organoid technology, and animal models. Our lab has a strong record of postdoctoral fellows receiving various training awards and advancing their carriers to independent academic positions. Key representative publications include Bianchi-Smiraglia et al, Nature Methods, Nature Communications, Journal of Clinical Investigation; Wolff et al., Cell Chemical Biology; Bagati et al, Cell Reports; Fink et al, Leukemia; Lipchick et al, Blood Advances. Qualified candidates should hold a PhD degree in a relevant field and possess extensive hands-on experience in basic biochemistry and/or molecular biology and biostatistics.
