POST SPECIFICATION The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) is actively recruiting top international researchers to accelerate its strategic initiatives. Biomedical Engineering (BME) has been identified as one of the multidisciplinary fields to focus on. Building upon a strong record in research and teaching, the Department of Biomedical Engineering, in close collaboration with the Faculty of Medicine and with academic contributions from other engineering departments, offers BME programmes at all levels including BEng, MSc and MPhil/PhD.
For this post, we would specifically invite a talent to join our interdisciplinary research and development group in Stroke Neuroengineering. The appointee will work together with Faculty of Medicine to conduct research and development works related to stroke neuroengineering.

(a) conduct research and development as the main duty and actively pursue RGC grants (or other external research grants of a similar size and stature), as Principal Investigator or project coordinator;
(b) provide a modest teaching load at undergraduate or postgraduate level in related areas;
(c) supervise postgraduate students and research staff;
(d) provide service to BME Department; and
(e) perform any other duties as assigned by the Chairman of Unit or his delegates.
QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants should have:
(a) a doctoral degree in relevant disciplines;
(b) potential to become a leader in one or several of the research fields of neuroengineering;
(c) strong commitment to achieve excellence in research;
(d) strong publication records;
(e) strong ability in interdisciplinary research ; and
(f) excellent communication skills and the ability to use English as the medium of instruction.
