Position Description
The Department of Political Science at Boston University
invites applications for a one-year, non-renewable position in International
Relations, at the rank of Visiting Assistant Professor, for the 2023–24
academic year. We are especially interested in candidates whose research and
teaching focus on nuclear security, alliance
politics, and/or the causes of war and peace. The
department is open to a variety of methodological approaches, from qualitative
to quantitative to mixed methods. The candidate will teach two courses each
semester and will be expected to teach Introduction to International Relations.
Candidates should have PhD in hand by the time of
appointment and evidence of excellent teaching credentials. To ensure full
