Position Description
Postdoctoral Fellow in Phage-Based Evolution for Chromatin Biology and Cancer Research- Design, execute, and analyze experiments involving evolutionary robotics and phage-based evolution techniques, with a focus on chromatin biology and epigenetics
- Develop and apply computational methods for the analysis and interpretation of complex experimental data Contribute to the preparation of grant proposals, progress reports, and scientific manuscripts for publication Participate in lab meetings, journal clubs, and departmental seminars
- Mentor and support undergraduate and graduate students in the lab, as well as provide guidance to new lab members
- Collaborate effectively with other lab members and researchers within the broader Duke research community
- A Ph.D. in genetics, developmental biology, bioengineering, or a related field, with a focus on chromatin biology and epigenetics
- Strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals
- Demonstrated success in mentoring and supporting students or junior researchers
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Proficiency in programming languages such as R or Python
- Interest in robotics, protein engineering, or other evolutionary approaches is highly desirable
