The Master of Engineering in FinTech at Duke University has become one of the strongest programs of its kind globally. This program attracts some of the best and brightest students from universities and industry around the world. To support the continued success of this program the Duke School of Engineering (Pratt) at Duke University invites applications for a Non-Regular Rank Executive in Residence position in the Master of Engineering in FinTech program to teach and provide program support

Successful candidates will be expected to:

Teaching

Fall      FinTech Product Development (new)

            Capstone (1 section equivalent)  

 

Spring  FinTech Product Development (repeat based on anticipated popularity)

 Alternative FinTech Investments (new)

Service

·        Seminar support by broadening the speakers

·        Industry and alumni engagement with an emphasis on outreach for internships and full time opportunities.

·        Admissions reading (mentored by Emma in F’24 in prep for a more independent role in future years).

·        Note: ln FY25, we would ask that this position hold a FinTech Product Competition, perhaps in collaboration with the Christensen Family Center for Innovation. In the first year, development of 2 new classes. We anticipate this sort of co-curricular activity would generate seed funding opportunities for our students and their FinTech ideas similar to this startup by FinTech students.  https://fintech.meng.duke.edu/news/duke-master-engineering-fintech-students-receive-venture-capital-investment
