Position Description
The Department of Astronomy at Cornell University invites applications for a postdoctoral research position with Dr. Anna Ho in the field of time-domain astronomy. A PhD in Physics, Astronomy, or a closely related field is required. The applicant will lead and contribute to projects in one or more of a variety of topics, such as engine-driven supernovae, gamma-ray bursts, and radio and submillimeter transients. The applicant will have the opportunity to work with data from, and contribute preparatory work to, several cutting-edge facilities including the Zwicky Transient Facility, ULTRASAT, the Simons Observatory, and CCAT-prime. Applicants with previous experience with transient observations (at any wavelength) are especially encouraged to apply. This is a limited-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with the possibility of renewal. The start date is flexible, but nominally 1 August 2024. Applicants should submit a cover letter, a CV (including list of publications) and a brief (1-3 pages) description of research interests, and should arrange three letters of reference to be submitted here. Pay Ranges:
The hiring rate of pay for the successful candidate will be determined considering the following criteria:

- Education level to the extent education is relevant to the position.
- Academic Discipline (faculty pay ranges reflects 9-month annual salary)
