Description
The University of Chicago invites applications for the 2024 cycle of the Quantum Postdoctoral Fellowship search. The goal of the fellowship is to identify outstanding early-career scientists engaging in experimental and/or theoretical quantum science and engage them in the quantum research program at The University of Chicago. This three-year award carries a competitive salary and an allocation of $3,000 per year for travel expenses. The purpose of this fellowship is to enable early-career scientists to work with members of the Physical Sciences Division and the Pritzker School of Molecular Engineering in areas of mutual interest in quantum science. Candidates must have or plan to receive a doctoral degree by the Fall of 2024. Appointment would be at the University internal rank of Postdoctoral Scholar. Please note that the position of Postdoctoral Scholar is open only to those individuals who are less than seven years beyond attainment of the Ph.D. degree. There are no teaching responsibilities with this position. (4) The name or names of University of Chicago faculty that the applicant would be interested in working with. Applicants are encouraged to reach out to faculty in advance of applying to discuss potential research opportunities. (5) Contact information for at least two faculty members or senior research scientists who will provide letters of recommendation. Please have them send letters to: ecs@uchicago.edu. Finalists will be invited to visit The University of Chicago in November to give a presentation on their previous research and future research directions. During the visit, they will meet with faculty and other members of the scientific community.
