The Institute for Data, Econometrics, Algorithms, and Learning (IDEAL) invites applications for a postdoctoral position with an anticipated start date in the Winter Quarter of 2024. IDEAL is an NSF-funded interdisciplinary institute organized by Northwestern University, the University of Chicago, Toyota Technological Institute at Chicago (TTIC), University of Illinois Chicago, and Illinois Institute of Technology. This position will be hosted by Northwestern University. The postdoctoral researcher will conduct research on key aspects of the foundations of data science. This field includes relevant areas of Theoretical Computer Science, Machine Learning, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research, and Econometrics.

The duration of the postdoc position is flexible, with potential end dates between Fall 2025 and Summer 2026.
