The BIOS laboratory (A.Wax, PI) at Duke University is seeking a research scientist to work on projects related to optical coherence tomography and digital holography. Candidates should have a PhD in biomedical engineering or related disciplines with experience in optics, specifically coherent/low coherence imaging methods. Responsibilities will include designing and implementing clinical optical systems based on OCT and light scattering as well as quantitative phase imaging with digital holography, applying these systems to the study of human diseases, and acquiring and analyzing clinical data sets. Optical design experience desired. Programming skills should include MATLAB, Labview, Python and/or C++.
