Position Description

Tenured appointment, Associate or Full Professor in the Department of Sociology, open field. Expectations of participation in department leadership within a couple of years of appointment. Teaching load: 2/2. Ph.D. in hand. Send a dossier, including (a) letter of application, (b) curriculum vitae, (c) three brief statements – one addressing teaching philosophy, one addressing scholarship, and one addressing demonstrated ability to mentor a diverse student body, (d) a writing sample, and (e) three letters of recommendation. The salary for this position will range from $105-120K and will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to internal equity, experience, education, specialty, and training. Pomona College also offers a competitive benefits package.
