Position Description: |
Postdoctoral Openings in Theoretical Astroparticle and Particle Physics at SISSA The astroparticle physics and particle physics phenomenology groups at SISSA in Trieste, Italy, invite applications for a number of postdoctoral research positions. The appointments will start in the Fall of 2024, for a period of two years. Extensions to a third year are subject to the availability of funds. The research interests covered by this call encompass a wide variety of topics including cosmology, early universe physics, dark matter, model building beyond the Standard Model, flavour physics, collider physics, and quantum field theory. We have strong ties to other research groups in string theory, mathematical physics, statistical physics, and astrophysics, as well as to other institutions in the Trieste area such as INFN, ICTP, and IFPU. More information on the SISSA Astroparticle Physics and Theoretical Particle Physics groups can be found at http://www.sissa.it/app/ and https://www.sissa.it/tpp/. Review of applications will begin on December 10, 2023 and continue until the positions are filled. Candidates should submit a cover letter, a curriculum vitae, a list of publications, a statement of research interests, and three letters of recommendation. Applications should be submitted through this website. The contact persons for these positions are: T. Kobayashi, D. Marzocca, T. Opferkuch, and A. Azatov (aazatov@sissa.it). Note: The particle physics group in Trieste also opens an additional postdoctoral position in "particle physics phenomenology in the Standard Model and beyond" covered by INFN funds. Moreover there is a general astroparticle postdoc position at SISSA (https://academicjobsonline.org/ajo/jobs/26187). All positions have different dedicated applications, and we advise interested researchers to apply to them. |
