The Department of Philosophy at Koç University, Istanbul, invites applications for a full-time faculty position at the assistant or associate professor level, beginning September 2024, in the following areas:

AOS: Open AOC: Kant, Post-Kantianism, Early Modern, Political Philosophy, Philosophy of AI, or Philosophy of Cognitive Science

Candidates must have a record of outstanding research—or, for recent graduates, potential for outstanding research—and hold a relevant PhD by the time of employment. The AOS is open, but candidates with research experience or teaching abilities in one or more of the following areas will have an advantage:

• Kant • Post-Kantianism • Early Modern • Political Philosophy • Philosophy of AI • Philosophy of Cognitive Science

Duties include research and publication, undergraduate and graduate teaching, and normal departmental duties. The teaching load is up to 2/2. All teaching is in the spring and fall semester, and the university has programs to aid travel to universities abroad in the summer months. The salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience, and the compensation includes a full benefits package, including healthcare and accommodation (or a rental contribution).
