Position Description:    

The Department of Bioengineering seeks applications for open-rank (Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor), interdisciplinary faculty candidates with research interests focused within Synthetic Biology and Mechanobiology.

Appointments will be primarily or fully in the Department of Bioengineering. This position has potential for both joint cross-department appointments and joint cross-college appointments in the College of Science and Bouvé College of Health Sciences.

We are seeking up to 2 faculty this cycle with research interests and expertise in areas of:

Synthetic Biology areas of interest & departmental connections:

Molecular and cellular engineering (Bioengineering, Biology, Chemical Engineering) Synthetic biology solutions for environmental and sustainability challenges (Bioengineering, Chemical Engineering, Biology, Chemistry and Chemical Biology, Marine and Environmental Science) Applications of machine learning to synthetic biology (Bioengineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Khoury College of Computer Sciences)

Mechanobiology areas of interest & departmental connections:
