Call of Interest for Post-Doc Positions at SISSA on the RadioForegrounds+ Project of the Horizon Space Program for the European Research Council (Grant Agreement number 101135036). All the relevant information is available at

The Astrophysics & Cosmology Group at SISSA (Trieste, Italy; invites applications for two Post-Doctoral Positions with the European Program RadioForegrounds+, within the New Horizons Space Program, which will last for three years starting on January 1st, 2024. The aim of the project is to provide the best possible characterization of the physical properties of polarized emissions in the microwave domain, together with an unprecedentedly thorough description of the intensity signal. This legacy information will be essential for future sub-orbital or satellite experiments targeting the B-Mode of Cosmic Microwave Anisotropies for the measurement of Cosmological Gravitational Waves and Lensing.

Positions can start anytime in 2024, and have a duration of two years, subject to extension on other funding sources. The program is coordinated by CSIC-IFCA (Santander), and includes, in addition to SISSA, IAC in Spain, CNRS in France, Universities of Manchester and Oxford in UK. Post-Doc positions will be available at all nodes. Applicants at SISSA are expected to work on the exploitation of current modeling and data analysis for predicting the detectability of B-Modes in forthcoming observations.

The International School for Advanced Studies (SISSA) is a leading research and training institution (PhD School) located in Trieste, Italy. The campus is in a green area on the hills close to Trieste and is efficiently connected to the city by public transport. SISSA offers to its community top tier research facilities (e.g. High Performance Computing facilities) and services (canteen and kindergarten services located on site). The Physics Area at SISSA has connections with the International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP), the National Institute for Nuclear Physics (INFN), the National Institute for Astrophysics (INAF) and the National Council for Research (CNR). SISSA is also a founding member of several research Institutes such as IFPU, IGAP and TQT. More information on research in Physics at SISSA can be found at
