The Postdoctoral Research Associate will be responsible for work on theoretical quantum optics and laser physics. The selected candidate will work on a range of subjects in quantum optics and will interact with experimentalists. The Postdoctoral Research Associate will also supervise, train, and mentor graduate students. What You Need to Know

Salary Range: Compensation will be commensurate to selected hire's experience.

Required Education and Experience:

PhD in Physics or related field

Preferred Education and Experience:

Knowledge of scientific programming language(s), computer simulation, quantum computing algorithms.

Experience in Quantum informatics, Quantum heat engine, Quantum thermodynamics and Quantum mechanics as well as experience in writing scientific papers as demonstrated by publications in peer reviewed journals

Responsibilities:

Research: Responsible for work on theoretical quantum optics and laser physics. Works on a range of subjects in quantum optics and will interact with experimentalists. Supervises, trains, and mentors graduate students.

Conferences, Publications, etc.: Writes scientific papers, participate in conferences, prepare PowerPoint presentations/slides, makes calculations, and related analysis as instructed.

Assist Visitors: Assists in hosting Institute visitors, assist in making IQSE sponsored activities successful, and performs other duties as assigned.
