Position Description
The Physics Department at Temple University invites applications for a tenure-track appointment as an Assistant Professor in Theoretical Nuclear Physics, expected to begin September 1, 2024. Initially, this position will be funded in part by the DOE Topical Collaboration on Quark-Gluon Tomography and possibly by the RIKEN BNL Research Center. Candidates must hold a doctorate in an appropriate field. We are especially interested in candidates with experience in perturbative and non-perturbative QCD, the parton structure of hadrons, and the physics of the Electron Ion Collider, but candidates in all subfields are welcome to apply. Candidates should have demonstrated an ability to perform excellent research and show promise for high-quality Physics teaching.
