INTRODUCTION
The Department of Physiology and Neurobiology (https://pnb.uconn.edu) within the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at the University of Connecticut seeks a full-time Assistant Clinical Professor and Director to lead and administer growing certificate and graduate programs in Surgical Neurophysiology already housed within the Department (https://ionm.uconn.edu).
The successful candidate will support and grow the programs and will be expected to be involved in a wide variety of functions, including (but not limited to), teaching relevant courses, mentoring students, coordinating clinical fieldwork, liaising with clinical sites and intraoperative neuromonitoring providers, coordinating program accreditation, and advertising the program.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- M.D. and/or Ph.D. in physiology, neurobiology, or a closely related field.
- Certification in Neurophysiologic Intraoperative Monitoring (CNIM).
- 5 years of experience working as a surgical neurophysiologist in a clinical setting.
- 3 years of experience working in an academic surgical neurophysiology program.
- Experience teaching relevant clinical neurophysiology coursework.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Commitment to engagement with diverse populations
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience working with intraoperative neuromonitoring providers on training programs.
- Experience with intraoperative neuromonitoring program accreditation.
- Experience coordinating clinical rotations for students.
APPOINTMENT TERMS
This is a full-time, non-tenure track position subject to annual renewal and eligible for multiple contracts based on performance, budget, and institutional needs. Salary will be competitive based on the successful candidate’s qualifications and experience. Work location is at the Storrs campus though travel to clinical sites may be required.
