Position Description

Associate Professor in Department of Family Medicine and Community Health Co-Clinical Director, New England AIDS Education and Training Center The Department of Family Medicine and Community Health at University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School is recruiting an advanced practice provider (preferred) with certification in HIV disease management for a non-tenure-track Associate Professor position to join the federally funded New England AIDS Education and Training Center (NEAETC) as Co-Clinical Director. The successful candidate will direct and maintain the clinical integrity and standards of the educational programs offered by NEAETC across New England. This position is also responsible for directing and implementing training and clinical consultation activities in Massachusetts.

Position responsibilities: The successful candidate will:

 In partnership with NEAETC leadership, work across New England to guide clinical faculty, presenters, and consultants to provide clinical training ensuring clinical integrity and standards.  Work with community practice sites, hospitals, community health centers, professional organizations, AIDS Service Organizations, Ryan White funded agencies, state agencies, local health departments and acute care hospitals across the region.  Oversee Massachusetts activities, including but not limited to, supervision of staff, planning all meetings, approve program scheduling; supervise recruitment of training consultants and federal reporting.  Review and approve all internal and external reporting to ensure appropriate compliance with policies and procedures and to maintain clinical integrity and standards. Required Teaching/Research/Clinical Specialty: Successful candidates should have a Master’s degree or higher in a clinical field (Advanced Practice Nursing preferred), certification in HIV disease management (Association of Nurses in AIDS Care, American Academy of HIV Medicine, or similar) and seven-plus years’ experience with learning curricula development, clinical mentorship, leading and coaching multidisciplinary teams and complex projects and five-plus years implementing clinical QI activities in primary care.
