Position Description:
Full-time, professor of practice faculty position in the Master of Science in Project Management program in the College of Business
Responsibilities:
Responsible for modeling the University Mission through dedicated job performance, service excellence to constituencies, respectful collaboration, and active support of the University’s Mission in Catholic and Lasallian higher education.
1. -Teach primarily graduate-level courses in traditional, blended, and online, with some undergraduate-level courses.
2. -24 credit hour teaching load per contract year. Nine-month position with summer responsibilities. -Establish and maintain office hours to assist students and foster positive interaction with colleagues and external parties.
3. -Actively participate in College/University Committees, scholarly pursuits, student recruitment, and other duties as assigned by the Dean and Department Chair.
4. -Organizes, prepares, and regularly revises and updates all course materials.
5. -Advise graduate students on program progression and academic success. Additionally, mentor graduate on professional development.
6. -Actively participate in College/University Committees, scholarly pursuits, student recruitment, and other various duties as assigned by the Dean and Department Chair.
7. -Knowledge of, and participation in, curriculum development and program assessment.
8. -Actively engage in the Project Management profession including current topics and trends within the field.
9. -Demonstrated abilities in establishing, growing and promoting the MS Project Management programs within the College, University and global community.
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Earned Doctorate within a closely related business discipline, from a regionally accredited College/School of Business. Strong candidates who are ABD and nearing dissertation completion will be considered.
2. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI).
3. Experience teaching predictive, agile, and new practices at the university level.
4. Commitment to diversity and inclusivity through demonstrated experience working with diverse populations.
Preferred Qualifications:
Significant experience in the field of Project Management.
