ATTENDING PSYCHIATRIST POSITION, WORCESTER RECOVERY CENTER AND HOSPITAL
WORCESTER RECOVERY CENTER AND HOSPITAL The University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School (UMass Chan) seeks a full-time (40 hours per week) board-certified/board-eligible psychiatrist to serve at The Worcester Recovery Center and Hospital in Worcester, MA. Worcester Recovery Center and Hospital (WRCH) is a state-of-the-art hospital that cares for adults with severe mental health conditions in our continuing care and acute forensic units. As a primary teaching site for UMass Chan, attendings may work with residents, medical students, and other disciplines.
UMass Chan is the only academic medical school in central Massachusetts and a destination site for excellent clinical care. The Department promotes academic, research, and leadership opportunities through CME programs and the Center for Research and Development Office. It is a national leader in public sector psychiatry, child and adolescent psychiatry, neurodevelopmental disorders, biological psychiatry, neuropsychiatry, forensic psychiatry, psychosocial rehabilitation, women’s mental health, and addiction psychiatry.
Successful candidates will receive a faculty appointment that includes Departmental support
for clinical, training and research. The benefit package is a generous state plan with holiday
and paid time off totaling to more than 7 weeks. There is the option for voluntary night,
weekend and holiday coverage with highly competitive reimbursement.
