The Kiehart lab in the Biology Department at Duke University is looking to hire a postdoctoral researcher to contribute to our studies on the molecular and biomechanical mechanisms of cell sheet morphogenesis during dorsal closure in the model system, Drosophila melanogaster (reviewed in Kiehart et al. 2017 Ann. Rev. Cell Dev. Biol. 33:169). Our lab applies high resolution live imaging techniques combined with biophysical approaches, genetics, gene discovery and computational tools. The successful applicant will lead a research project and will have the opportunity to mentor students. Candidates must hold a PhD or anticipate completion of a PhD prior to starting the postdoc position and must have prior publications. To apply, please submit a cover letter, CV, statement of research interest, names and contact information for three references and a publication list via Academic Jobs Online [
