Description

The School of Engineering at the University of Valencia (ETSE), in collaboration with the Instituto de Física Corpuscular (IFIC), a joint center of the University of Valencia (UV) and the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC), is excited to offer a Postdoctoral Fellowship position focused on Quantum Machine Learning (QML) and fundamental physics. This fellowship is ideal for early-career researchers interested in pushing the boundaries of high-energy particle physics, astrophysics, and cosmology through advanced quantum computing and machine learning techniques. Research Focus: • Developing and refining quantum algorithms to enhance machine learning applications. • Applying advanced machine learning techniques to address complex challenges in high-energy particle physics, astrophysics, and cosmology. Facilities and Resources: Postdoctoral researchers will have access to state-of-the-art GPU cluster facilities, enabling extensive computational experiments and simulations. The fellowship also includes funding for attending international conferences and workshops, offering abundant opportunities for professional development and networking. Fellowship Duration: The fellowship is initially offered for a period of two years, with the possibility of extension based on performance and availability of funding. Candidate Profile: We seek candidates who possess a Ph.D. in Physics, with demonstrated expertise in data science and machine learning as applied to physical sciences.
