Position Description:
CORRIGAN MENTAL HEALTH CENTER ATTENDING PSYCHIATRIST
The University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School (UMass Chan) seeks a board-certified or board-
eligible adult psychiatrist to serve as an Attending Psychiatrist for a Department of Mental Health
operated mental health center in Fall River, MA. The facility is composed of a 16-bed, inpatient psychiatric unit, partial hospital program, outpatient services, and community services. Candidates interested in either full-time or part-time work will be considered. The selected candidate will be recommended for a UMass Chan faculty appointment as Assistant or Associate Professor based on qualifications.
The Attending Psychiatrist is responsible for providing direct clinical care to adult patients
under the supervision of the Facility Medical Director. The Attending Psychiatrist is a part of a
multi-disciplinary team and participates in regular clinical and risk consultation meetings, as well as quality and performance improvement initiatives.
We seek an inspired clinician, committed to the recovery model of care. Ideal candidates will
possess both a depth and breadth of adult psychiatric experience and commitment to public sector psychiatry.
