Position Description
The Department of Statistical Sciences at Wake Forest University invites applications for two Assistant Teaching Professor positions to begin July 1, 2025. Faculty in these positions teach three courses per semester, and successful candidates will be able to teach a variety of courses at the undergraduate level. Teaching Professionals will emphasize introductory courses, have regular opportunities to teach intermediate courses, and have some opportunities to teach advanced undergraduate courses. We seek faculty with a commitment to excellence in teaching; a desire to mentor students; and a commitment to enhance the breadth, depth, and diversity of our statistics programs. We strive for inclusivity and seek applicants with demonstrated success or interest in working with diverse populations. A Ph.D. in Statistics, Biostatistics, or a related area is required. The department has thirteen permanent faculty members. Degree programs within the department include both a B.A. and a B.S. in Statistics, a B.S. in Applied Statistics, a B.S. in Decision Analytics, an M.S. in Statistics, and a Graduate Certificate in Data Science.
