Position Description:
   

We seek a highly motivated individual to perform a variety of technical duties involved in conducting and managing sponsored research studies within the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Duke University. The appointment will hold 50% effort in two research labs: the BIG IDEAs Lab and the t.Dunn Lab. The BIG IDEAs Lab’s overarching goal is to develop and test tools and infrastructure using biomedical and health data for early detection, intervention, and prevention of disease. t.Dunn Lab uses novel computational methods to understand behavior and the brain in both animals and humans.

 

The selected applicant will be assigned to between one and several projects within the lab at any given time.

 

Duties include:

·       Assist with project setup and implementation

·       Manage and track lab orders, receipts and invoices

·       Manage and delegate tasks

·       Coordinate team meetings

·       Maintain the lab roster

·       Maintain the inventory of materials, supplies and equipment

·       Maintain the lab website and social media

·       Help plan lab socials

·       Update posters and bulletins outside of the lab

·       For some projects, duties will include consenting participants, overseeing data collection, and data management
