The Department of Sociology at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina, invites applications for a part-time instructor to teach one section of SOCIOL 263: Aging and Health Policies in Spring 2025. Candidates should have a Ph.D. in one of the social sciences and college-level teaching experience. The course will provide a theoretical and empirical overview of how social institutions shape aging processes across the life course, with particular emphasis on the impact of health policies. Assignments should sharpen students’ written and oral communication, problem-solving, and research skills.
