Applications are invited to a postdoctoral opening in computational physics in the School of Physics and Astronomy of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Shanghai, China. The successful candidate will join Prof. Antonio M. García-García Research Group. For more information about the group research interests see https://scholar.google.com/citations?user=9IRAYdEAAAAJ&hl=en and https://www.physics.sjtu.edu.cn/amgg/Research profile: Candidates with a previous background on GPU computing are especially encouraged to apply. However, other research profiles, within the realm of computation physics, especially with a background in strongly interacting quantum systems will also be seriously considered.
Requirements: A PhD degree in theoretical physics or related subjects.
Eligibility: Candidates of all nationalities are welcome to apply. The working language is English.
Duration: 2 year with possibility of extension.
Deadline: Applications will start to be reviewed in early December. The starting date of the contract is fully flexible provided that the applicant has already a PhD degree.
Salary: 300000RMB per year. Additional benefits include basic health insurance, travel grant to stimulate scientific exchange. An indication of the cost of living in Shanghai: Price of lunch/dinner on campus ~10-15RMB Monthly rent for a one-bedroom apartment around campus ~5000RMB/month
