Position Description

As part of the establishment of the new Institute for Quantum and Information Sciences, Syracuse University invites applications for four postdoctoral positions in professor Alexander Maloney's research group to start in September of 2025.

The primary areas of interest include holography, conformal field theory, quantum gravity, and quantum information theory. However, all areas of high energy physics and gravity will be considered.

The successful applicant will benefit from a growing theoretical physics group, which includes the present faculty at Syracuse University (Simon Catterall, Jay Hubisz, Jack Laiho, Alexander Maloney, Jason Pollack, Scott Watson) as well as additional new faculty to be hired in fall 2025.
