The Department of Physics and Astronomy at Barnard College, Columbia University, seeks to appoint a tenure-track assistant professor, or tenured at higher level, in Experimental Physics including interdisciplinary topics such as condensed matter physics, materials science, biological physics, as well as astroparticle and astrophysics. Candidates will be evaluated on their potential to develop a vigorous experimental research program at Barnard along with significant research opportunities for our undergraduate majors. Applicants for this position must possess a doctoral degree in Physics or a related field and have a compelling publication record. Candidates should have demonstrated the ability to engage in pioneering research. We are also seeking evidence for the promise of excellence in teaching and mentoring at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
