Lehigh University’s Department of Decision and Technology Analytics (DATA) in the College of Business invites applications for a non-tenure track instructional position in Business Information Systems and Business Analytics beginning July 2025.The position rank is either Teaching Assistant Professor or Professor of Practice, dependent upon the candidate’s
experience and record of teaching. This is a non-tenure track, full time, fixed term, renewable position. The initial term
of the appointment is three years. Interested candidates must possess at least a Master’s degree in Information Systems
or a directly related field by the time of employment.
Candidates will teach courses in the broad field of information systems and business analytics at both the undergraduate
and graduate level. The Department anticipates that the selected candidate will be able to instruct or design courses in
fields such as artificial intelligence, cyber security, cloud computing, database, or digital currency. The selected
candidate is expected to be a highly engaged and committed member of the DATA department and will be involved in
undergraduate and graduate teaching, curriculum development, student mentoring and department service assigned by
the department chair. The standard teaching schedule is 12 credits per academic semester.
The DATA department has nine tenured or tenure-track faculty members and five teaching-track professors in IS, supply
chain management (SCM), and analytics. The department offers majors and minors in business information systems,
supply chain management, and business analytics, as well as a certificate in business analytics (jointly with Department
of Marketing). The department also supports numerous undergraduate core courses and graduate programs (e.g., MBA
and MS in Business Analytics), and the Center for Supply Chain Research at Lehigh, which fosters industry support and
research on supply chain management.
