Description
International Master's program Geometry and Quantum Fields is a course in mathematics and theoretical physics.It is a joint program of the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics and the Institute for Theoretical and Mathematical Physics of Lomonosov Moscow State University.
The subject of the program is the physics and mathematics of fundamental interactions with the emphasis on modern developments motivated by quantum gravity. The unique feature of the program is that it provides a solid mathematical background, in particular, in geometry, along with the systematic education in quantum field theory, gravity, string theory and holography.
The program also includes an individual research project supervised by leading researchers from the ITMP, academic staff of the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics, as well as scientists from the Russian Academy of Sciences and other local/foreign magistral scientific research institutes who are world class experts in the fields of mathematics and physics. The program is designed for exceptional students who have demonstrated significant achievements in either physics or mathematics during their undergraduate studies, as well as those who exhibit remarkable scientific aptitude and creativity.
Duration: 2 years (4 semesters), full-time and on-campus.

The Sholarship: 25 000-60 000 rubles per month (after tax), granted on a competitive basis.
