Position Description
The Interdisciplinary Theorical Physics group at the Shanghai Institute of University of Science and Technology of China invites applications for a few postdoctoral positions, respectively working on a broad range of theoretical topics, ranging from condensed matter theory and statistical physics, quantum computing, quantum information and quantum foundations, cosmology, quantum entanglement in high energy physics, quantum simulation and its use in lattice gauge theory, and history of physics. The starting dates are flexible, but the positions will be closed when filled. Each candidate should have received or will soon receive a Ph.D. in physics or a nearby discipline, with excellent programing skills or good experiences in the most relevant subject, and is able to carry out collaborating researches. Each positions is for two years, with a possibility to extend for another two years. The annual salary is about 150k to 200k RMB, depending on the experience. Economic flight coming to the position will be reimbursed. Various university benefits are also provided, including staff health insurance coverage and housing subsidies. Necessary funding will be provided by the supervisor. Postdocs will have opportunities to apply for various kinds of grants.
