Position Description

The Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry at Mount Allison University invites applications for a full-time nine-month sessional appointment in Biochemistry. The appointment will be made at the rank of Lecturer or Assistant Professor and will commence on August 1, 2025, subject to budgetary approval.

The successful candidate will teach in-person four undergraduate courses including Introductory Biochemistry (BIOC 1001), Protein Biochemistry (BIOC 3521), Signal Transduction (BIOC 4031), and one of Lipids and Membranes (BIOC 4021), Molecular Immunology (BIOC 3051), Virology (BIOC 4151), or propose a new course complementary to their expertise and to our current offerings (BIOC 3991). The successful candidate will have access to university research facilities. Contributions to research and service are not expected. The successful candidate should have completed (or in-progress) PhD in Biochemistry or related field. Doctoral students are welcome to apply, and prior teaching experience is preferred.
