Short-term position for Associate in Research in Yuan Lab:
An associate in research position is available between January 15, 2025 and August 31, 2025 in the Yuan Lab (https://bme.duke.edu/people/fan-yuan/). The goal of resesarch is to improve DNA vaccine delivery in animals using electroporation technology.
Project includes:
o DNA delivery in animals
o Measurement of immune responses to the vaccines
o Analysis of data from cell and animal experiments
Qualifications include an M.S. in biomedical engineering. The ideal candidate will have experiences in vaccine study. Specific skills include mammalian cell culture, muscle electroporation in animals, sample collection from animals, quantification of humoral and cellular responses to vaccines using flow cytometry, ELISA, and ELISpot. Responsibilities for this position include (1) leading research project; (2) carefully documenting procedures and results; (3) presenting research in lab meetings; (4) contributing to lab maintenance; (5) working collaboratively with others in the lab.
