Duke University’s Master of Engineering in Financial Technology program in the Pratt School of Engineering invites applications for a Non-Regular Rank Adjunct Professor position. The ideal candidate will have commitment, passion, and excellence in teaching.
This position will teach the FinTech 510: Programming for FinTech course in the FinTech Master’s Program. This role will have the mentorship of Pratt’s outstanding regular-rank teaching faculty and not only polish their teaching skills but also become immersed in the novel pedagogy used in these programs.
Preferred candidates will have a demonstrated ability to teach software-related subjects, as well as experience in a professional setting. An academic and industry understanding of these subjects, particularly in an applied environment, is crucial to the success of the classes. Since classes are offered in person and online, enhancing the FinTech Online offering related to the courses above is necessary, experience with developing and delivering online classes is highly desirable. This position is expected to be part time.
