Position Description

The Theoretical High Energy Physics group at the Institute for Physics at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz offers a PhD position in Mathematical and Theoretical High Energy Physics (salary scale TV-L E13 50%).

The PhD work will be carried out in the research group of Prof. Hans Jockers. Candidates who are interested in performing research in Mathematical Physics and Theoretical High Energy Physics and have a Master's degree in Physics or Mathematics at the time the appointment begins (1 Oct 2025) are invited to apply.

The research group of Prof. Hans Jockers is part of the Theoretical High Energy Physics (THEP) group at the Johannes Gutenberg University of Mainz and offers a broad variety of research activities. The proximity to the Mainz Institute for Theoretical Physics (mitp.uni-mainz.de) creates an internationally visible and active research environment.
