Position Description

Forensic Psychiatrist WRCH 

WORCESTER RECOVERY CENTER AND HOSPITAL (WRCH), a Department of Mental Health (DMH) hospital, and the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School (UMass Chan) is seeking a full-time (40 hours per week) board-certified or board-eligible (forensic) psychiatrist to serve on one of the court-evaluation units (CEUs). WRCH is the largest psychiatric facility in MA, a state-of-the-art hospital built in 2012, serving individuals with severe mental health conditions from across the state. While forensic training is recommended, it is not required for interested psychiatrists to apply. The hospital offers ongoing trainings and strong academic, administrative, and legal supports for all providers and staff. The candidate will be recommended for a UMass Chan faculty appointment as Assistant or Associate Professor of Psychiatry based on their qualifications.
