The Department of Pharmacology, Physiology & Biophysics (https://www.bumc.bu.edu/ppb/) at the Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine is seeking to recruit a new faculty member at the Assistant Professor (salary range 90,000-120,000 USD) level. We seek a scientist to lead and collaborate on research projects leveraging diverse human and rodent genomic data, including genomic sequencing, transcriptomics of diverse RNA families, epigenomics, and proteomics to uncover molecular mechanisms of complex brain disorders. Scholars who integrate functional genomics, and translational modeling of addiction-related, stress‑related or affective illnesses are especially encouraged to apply. Candidates should have over 5 years of experience in high-dimensional omics analysis, strong funding and publication record, as well as a strong record of collaborative leadership and mentorship. We will give priority to candidates with extensive experience in genetics, single-cell/nucleus RNA sequencing, proteomics, experimental design and broad knowledge of in vitro models, spatial transcriptomics, and related molecular profiling techniques.
