The Department of Computer and Information Sciences (CIS) at Temple University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Artificial Intelligence (AI), to begin in Fall 2026.

 

We seek innovative and collaborative researchers whose work will advance the frontiers of AI and contribute to the department’s vibrant and growing AI program. We welcome applicants pursuing foundational AI research—such as machine learning, natural language processing, or computer vision—as well as interdisciplinary and use-inspired AI research that connects with other fields.

 

Successful candidates will demonstrate an outstanding record of research, a commitment to excellence in teaching and mentoring, and the potential to develop a strong, externally funded research program. A Ph.D. in Computer Science or a closely related field is required by the time of appointment.
